Bernard Boyat reviews Something in the Air June, 2009:
![]()
"For this new album, her 3rd, Nancy has chosen an original concept: to be accompanied
by different groups, of varied styles; rock-a-billy, power acoustic, swing, traditional jazz, uke duo,
bassoon trio, bass clarinet, gospel, cowboy. ...the hillbilly bop/swing "Trouble", medium honky tonk
"Darling for Tonight", "Times Like These", western swing tunes "Easy Love, "Big Yellow Moon",
"Something in the Air", "Head in the Clouds" and "Used to Be" are very good. The "best of" award goes to
"Gospel Wagon Train", which brings it all together.
